Famous Latin American star Ricky Martin was honored with a star on the Walk of Fame in Los-Angeles on Tuesday, October 16 .
The happy singer whose hits are "Livin' la Vida Loca" and "She Bangs", said his work had finally been recognized and he hoped it would stay there forever.
A great number of Ricky Martin's fans and especially female ones who surrounded the singer were very excited by the event and waved Puerto Rican flags. Ladies screamed Ricky Martin's name.
As for the star, they placed it near Kodak Theater, on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue. The Ricky Martin's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame become the 2,351 awarded.
The Grammy-winning singer Ricky Martin is one of the most successful and famous Puerto Rican singer. Moreover he is the top-selling artist: he has sold more than 60 million albums all over the world.
The Californian city authorities wanted to specially mark Ricky Martin's charity work and his contribution to children-in-need organizations development. Ricky is the founder of a non-profit fund that advocates welfare of children around the world.
Ricky told to his fans: "This is an incredible moment. Everything I do, I do with love and passion".
