A world known Italian designer Valentino Garavani, who has been creating outfits for the most famous women all around the world for many years, has announced his retirement.
He is going to leave Valentino fashion house where he has spent 45 years and the world of fashion correspondingly in January, 2008 immediately after a final haute couture collection to be shown in January,8.
Hollywood actresses, American presidents' wives and the richest people all over the world have become Valentino's clients: Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Audrey Hepburn, Cate Blanchett, Julia Roberts, Uma Thurman and a lot of others are in the list of Valentino's devoted clients.
Valentino have decided it is the perfect time to say adieu to the world of fashion. The couturier had no doubts Valentino fashion house founded by him would change after his retirement but he hoped his designers team would be able to continue his job the way he would be proud of them.
Valentino Garavani was born in 1932 in northern Italy. He started his career in Paris in Jean Desses and Guy Laroche fashion houses. In 1960es he returned to Italy to begin producing his own clothing line Valentino.
Valentino is one of the biggest producers of fashion clothing, perfumery, cosmetics and accessories. Such famous brands as Hugo Boss and Marlboro Classics belongs to it.
