Nicole Richie Harms her Unborn Baby

Nov 1, 2007 | Category: Hollywood Stars

Nicole Richie There is an impression celebrities just can't live without their bad habits. Being pregnant with her first child 'The Simple Life' star Nicole Richie is still smoking. It turns out she is a rather irresponsible person.

Everybody knows that pregnant women should not smoke otherwise they can harm their unborn child. Yeah, everybody except Nicole... .

She has been seen lighting up for several times in different places. Recently she was spotted dining with Joel Madden who is her fiance and father of their future babe (they say she is expecting a boy). As soon as they left the restaurant she lit up a cigarette. Can't Joel Madden show his love and care and talk with her about the health of their unborn child? Or is she so stubborn? .

It seems Nicole's driving-under-the-influence adventure was not enough for her. She shouldn't be selfish and stop doing what she wants for the sake of her babe. .

I agree with Gina also..People need tospend more time worrying about themselves and their faults instead of other peoples. Quitting cold turkey is hard to do and does put alot ofstress on you. Nicole Richie is doing nothing wrong and I'm sure has some of thebest care for her and the baby.

I love Nicole Richie..and being pregnant and still smoking doesn\\\'t show that shedoesn\\\'t love or care about her unborn child..It\\\'s just an addiction that can be hard to quit. I\\\'m pregnant myself and I was smoking..But I\\\'ve quit for the sake ofmy unborn child..But just because Nicole isstill smoking doesn\\\'t make her a bad person.

To talk such filth coming out of some peoples mouth is really bad Karma. To say that we hope that all is well with Nicole and her baby would be better!!!! How much better are you then her, are you perfect, do no wrong, and actually have the right to say that the world is better off without someone: who made you God? becareful wht you say it may backfire and come back to you 3x fold!!!!! Negativity breeds negativity and this is why the world is so negative: because of people like you.

I'd be more concerned about her parenting than her pregnancy. When I was pregnant, I was told that keeping it under 10 cigs a day was almost like not smoking at all, and that quitting cold turkey could be more stressful and harmful.

Those of us in our 30's, 40's and over were born to the heavy smoking generations - well before the Surgeon General's warning. And most of us are fine. The risks involve low birth weight, basically. Once the baby gains weight, there's no difference between the baby of a smoking mom and a non-smoking mom.

If Nicole drinks or snorts coke, I say give the tabloids a call. Otherwise...*yawn*.

I doubt smoking a few cigarettes is going to have a more negative effect on this baby than the stress of being constantly stalked by the media. Why are all of you so judgemental? Is it because every time you speed, don't tip a waitress, drive while talking on your cell phone, visit a strip club or buy alchoholic drinks that no-one notices? We are not talking about heroine or meth or cocaine here.
Cigareete smoking is a terrrible physical addiction, quitting cold turkey can cause dangerouse levels of stress on the body. I am certain that with her fortune, she is seeing the best doctors and getting the best medical care available. She is a human being with faults just like all of us. If she were not smoking, all you trash talkers would disect her diet, her clothing, how many hours of sleep she gets or any other trivial detail. How about focusing on improving yourself and not spend your time finding fault with others.

I hate smoking and more so if you're pregnant. I don't get not understanding the harm it can do to a baby. In Nicole's defense, I don't understand why such hard things are said about her when alot of average everyday people smoke while pregnant. We don't hear about these people. Leave her alone. As much as most of us know it's a bad thing to be doing, it's her decision and she has to live with it. We all do things we shouldn't at one time or another.

Leave her alone. Why do people feel the need to scrutinize every little thing a pregnant celebrity does? Its so retarded!

She really should not smoking now !She should care about herself. Recently, she was said to join in a millionaire dating site. I guess it may be http://www.millionairematch.com/user/celebrities

Pffft if any woman actually LOVES her unborn child, its easy to quit smoking. Case in point: I quit cigarettes AND pot while I was pregnant. Its called self control. No one seems to have it nowadays. If its worth whining about, its worth giving up on, right?

My grandmother smoked while pregnant with my mom. She was born three months prematurely with a collapsed lung.

To the person who asked why we are getting on her case when millions of people smoke while pregnant--just because "millions" of people do it, doesnt make it right, or healthy, or correct behavior. Sheep. Geesus.

Ok, I am by no means a fan of Nicole Richie or her posuer boyfriend, but this is just silly. Quitting smoking causes a lot of stress on your body, both physical and emotional distress which is not good for the baby. When my sister was pregnant, her doctor actually told her that it would be LESS harmful for the baby if she had one or two smokes a day than completely freaking herself out over quitting.

I\'m sorry, I don\'t smoke, but I know that there are MILLIONS of people who do while they are pregnant and even do far worse things and the babies are fine. Keep in mind that MILLIONS of people do it, so why is everyone trashing her?

November 10th, 2007 03:17 by anthony
Just because you grow up rich, that doesn\'t mean you can\'t be a piece of worthless trash. The world would be better off without people like Nicole Richie apart of it.

It's a shame she feels she has to carry on her smoking habit. What she needs is encouragement to help her quit.

She's such a pig, who care's about her anyway? What an awful role model.
