Thirty-five year old actress Jennifer Garner has been named 'Woman of the year' by Glamour magazine editors. She becomes the first as a woman with a 'successful career and happy family life while remaining stylish and elegant'.
It is well known the Juno actress is the wife of famous Hollywood actor Ben Affleck and they have 22-month daughter Violet.
Gennifer Garner embellishes the cover of the US Glamour November issue in a gorgeous turquoise gown. Gennifer Garner, a woman who manages to successfully combine her married life, motherhood and career always being beautiful and stylish, certainly deserves such a prestigious award.
The Glamour magazine selected also 12 other women to honor at a magnificent event at New York's Lincoln Center. Golfer Lorena Ochoa and Nobel-prize winning novelist Toni Morrison, journalist Lara Logan and Dr. Victoria Hale are on the list. Oscar-nominated kid star Abigali Breslin was honored at the ceremony as The Girl of the Year.
The Monday night show was opened by Mariah Carey.
Last year they named Somaly Mam the Glamour Woman of the year. The woman devoted her life to rescuing girls from sex slavery. They call her "modern-day saint".
